Inventory Control

How does DBA maintain an accurate stock on hand?

Most light manufacturing systems use "backflushing" whereby BOM components are deducted at time of build finish instead of when they are actually issued. This means you can never be sure what is really on hand or not. You must therefore manually verify stock quantities on a constant basis to know when POs and builds are needed and when builds can be started.

By contrast, materials in DBA are issued to jobs in real time on a "just in time" basis and therefore you always know exactly how much stock is on hand for any given item at any given time.
