Unlike the traditional ERP sales model, we give you the tools to evaluate the software on your own in exchange for a dramatically lower product price.
At DBA we've been delivering ERP software alternatives to thousands of small manufacturing businesses since 1992.
DBA has several key features that enable it to be used for project type jobs.
If a project is dong on behalf of a customer, during sales order entry you can use the customer job output generator to create a custom ID that represents the project and provides an "output" against which costs are collected.
MRP will create a job for this custom ID. Projects can be given their own job type so that project jobs can be segregated on screens and reports from production jobs or repair jobs.
The job routing can be used to define the phases of the project. Job labor can then be collected against each phase.
Any materials consumed during the job are added to the job details so that MRP can react and plan purchase orders when needed for materials.
You can record completion percentages against the custom ID and bill the customer for progress billings. Partial completions are costed at a portion of estimated job cost.
When the job is fully completed, all job costs are accounted for and stay with the custom ID. When you invoice the customer, this total cost flows through to the invoice as the cost of goods sold.
This design, which incorporates a job "output" against which costs are accumulated, makes DBA ideal for project jobs and billing.
